Radiological
examination of mica processing workers revealed evidence of
pneumoconiosis of category 1 or more in 6.23% workers and
evidence of pleuralthickening
was found in 4.3% workers. In female mica processing workers
the prevalence of pneumoco-niosis was 2.7%.
